MSc & BSc Course

While we all feel nervous for public speaking to a more or lesser extent, we don’t really train in dealing with nerves and we don’t learn how we can decrease the influence it has on our presentation skills. Isn’t that silly? Time to make a change!

In this presentation skills training I will teach you strategies for staying calm and feeling better about presenting. Training exercises also cover non-verbal communication, presentation structure and interaction with audience to improve your presentation skills all together.

Workshop 2. Structure
In this session we look at how effective presentations are structured. When you apply this structure to your own presentation, it will help you to not lose track and appear more confident and relaxed. Preparation: 5 min presentation.

Workshop 3. Non verbal communication
In this session we address how your body language can counter feelings of nervousness, and we practice how you can use your non-verbal communication (posture, voice, gestures) to make your message come across clearly. Preparation: 5 min presentation.

Workshop 4.Voice and interaction
In this session we will investigate how we can use our voice to match what you say and how you say it. If this is congruent, you and your audience will feel more at ease.
